Smooches for Pooches

Join Meadowlake in their yearly Smooches for Pooches celebration! Barrio Dogs, Inc. will be joining in on the fun with adoptbale dogs! This is a free event, but any donations will be accepted for Barrio Dogs, Inc. Festivities include a Cutest Cupid Costume Contest, a dog friendly Kissing Booth, and dog park fun! All dogs must be current on vaccinations to participate.

FREE Puppy Socialization & Seminar

Join the staff at Meadowlake Pet Resort for a FREE Puppy Socialization and Seminar and a play day! Meadowlake's Doggie Daycare Manager Stacy Weightman and Trainer Tori Hankey, CPTD-KA, will discuss the importance of socializing your dog at an early age, as well as training tips for you and your puppy. Complimentary mimosas, coffee and scones will be served for the people. Puppies ages 10 weeks to 6 months old and current on puppy vaccinations may participate.

Winter Wonderland Party to benefit Gulf Coast Cocker Spaniel Resuce

Join Meadowlake Pet Resort on Saturday December 17 from 11AM-1PM for playing, pictures with Santa and Cocker Spaniel Adoptions! A photographer will be snapping pictures of your fur-babies in Santa's lap, and for only $8.00 you can go home with one that day! A portion of the proceeds will benfit Gulf Coast Cocker Spaniel Resuce.

Give Thanks everyday during the week of November 21-November 25!

Each day dogs enrolled in Doggie Daycare will go home with a Thanksgiving goodie! Don't forget to add on a Thanksgiving Dinner to your dog's stay! They will enjoy turkey, green beans, mashed potatoes drizzled in Dog Frinely Gravey, and for desert they will enjoy a pup-kin tart made of pumpkin filling in a wafer cup!

The Walk for Mental Health Awareness

The 5K Walk will begin and end at the Stude Park Community Center. You can walk, ride your bicycle, and bring your dog to the walk. The Houston Walk is a dog friendly event and owners are encouraged to stop by Meadowlake Pet Resort's "Pup Tent" for goodies and prizes. Intro to DockDogs
August 20 2011

$15.00 per dog 

This event includes a short presentation on the sport, which features dogs jumping into a pool in a high flying pursuit of a toy.  The staff will then help you find the best way to get started with your dog.  Dogs of all sizes, shapes, and breeds can try their paws at dock diving, or if the canines do not want to jump, they can walk down the ramp into the pool!  It's only $15 per dog, free to all people, and by reservation only.  Space is limited, so please email Whitney at whitney.cabaza@meadowlakepetresort.com or call 713-413-1633.  Dogs need to have proof of vaccinations, and bring a towel because you will get wet!

Discovery Green
July 1-3 2011

DockDogs, the national dog jumping competition, has found a home at Discovery Green in the summer.  The three-day competition features four-legged athletes from across Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana in diverse jumping competitions.  The DockDogs competition is free and open to the public.  Anyone with a dog and fetch toy can participate.  Handlers must be 7 years of age, and all breeds of dogs can become a DockDog.  Get some practice time in at Meadowlake Pet Resort, the only DockDog sanctioned pool in Texas! 

 

 

Barrio Dogs, Inc Adoption Drive

 Intro to DockDogs

We always have great time at the Intro to DockDogs! Everyone can learn about the fastest growing dog sport and then the dogs can take turns jumping into the Meadowlake DockDogs Pool.  It's only $10 per dog, and everyone is encouraged to attend.  All dogs must be current on vaccinations to participate.  For more information about DockDogs go to www.dockdogs.com.

PUGNIC for PugHearts Rescue

Meadowlake will be hosting PugHearts' spring fundraiser, Pugnic!  Admission to the event includes a burger lunch (beef or veggie) with chips and a drink!  Festivities will include a DJ, bouncy castle, a pet play area, a raffle, and rides in the "pug police car".  Most importantly, there will be lots of Pugs including some looking for their fur-ever home!  Meadowlake will be providing $25.00 baths as well.  The bath includes a hydro-surge massage, ear cleaning, nail trimming, a spritz of doggie perfume and topped off with a cute bandanna!  Visit www.pughearts.com to purchase your tickets today!
