PEARLAND PAWS IN THE PARK

March 27 & 28, 2010

10 am - 4 pm

Independence Park, 3919 Liberty Drive, Pearland

Meet at the park for pet contests, a fun run, canine demonstrations and the Meadowlake sponsored national DockDogs diving event.  You don't need a dog to attend this event but they are welcome as long as they are leashed and fully vaccinated.  Visit the Pearland Parks website to learn more about this great weekend.

HOT ROCKS THE DOCK

April 10 & 11, 2010

The Heart of Texas DockDogs Club inagurates Meadowlake's newly sanctioned DockDog pool and dock.  Come see dogs defy gravity as they hurl themselves off the dock hoping for the most air, fastest time and of course the biggest splash.  Does your pup want to join the fun? Beginning in March, pre-register at www.dockdogs.com or register the day of the event.  No experience neccessary and all breeds are welcome.  Not in the mood to get wet?  That's okay, spectators are welcome to help cheer on the dogs.  Four legged spectators are also welcome but must be leashed at all times and fully vaccinated.  Flexi-leads are not permitted at this event.

Smooches Fun Had By All

Meadowlake's first annual Smooches With Your Pooches provided fun for pooches and people alike.

Pups enjoyed complimentary paw conditioning massages and five-minute FURminator brush-outs from the Meadowlake grooming staff. All of the hair gathered from the FURminator was sent to Matter of Trust to be used for oil spill mats. So all these pups not only got a great brushing but helped the environment at the same time. And of course all the pups enjoyed playing at the Sweetheart Dance.

People got pampered with sea salt scrubs and protein shakes from Arbonne Internatiional and five-minute massage from Southerland Chiropractic.

Thank you to all of the kids and parents who came out to enjoy author and illustrator Rebecca Lee Helvey's reading and signing of her books, Greta's Purpose and Rudy's Path.  We all enjoyed the stories, cookies, hot cocoa and meeting Greta, the Great Dane.

We had a great time at the Pearland Hometown Christmas Festival.  We enjoyed the winter weather while making new friends.  Thank you to everyone that stopped by our booth.
