Carroll Robertson Ray - Owner and Executive Manager

A native Houstonian and life–long animal lover, Carroll is the proud mom of Rose and Lex Hochner, and the happy owner of Miss Harley, her rescue dog. She has been an active business woman all her life. Carroll studied the kennel business extensively before assembling a team of dedicated experts to assist in the design, construction and staffing of her own unique pet resort, named after her favorite childhood street. Carroll is involved with many Houston area community organizations. Gov Rick Perry recently appointed her a Regent of the University of Houston. She serves on the boards of the Houston Museum of Natural Science, the Houston Ballet Foundation and the Neuhaus Center.

Laura Koch  - Director of Pet Services

With a life–long passion for animals that began at the tender age of 14 when she began work at a pet store, Laura’s many years of animal care experience include shelters and zoos, most notably the Houston Zoo – with over 4,500 animals for whom Laura helped provide sanitary housing, meals, medical care and even education. Originally from Milwaukee, WI, Laura moved to Houston in 2004. Her family includes her husband Dave, daughter Savannah, Boston Terrier Fenway and Rottweiler mix Lambeau. She is delighted to be part of the Meadowlake family and to provide exceptional care and love to all the animals at their "home away from home."

Ashley Botts - Lodging Manager

Ashley is a Pearland local and is currently working on a degree in early childhood education. She decided to pursue her love for animals while attending school and joined the Meadowlake staff in March of 2010. Ashley started in guest services and then transferred back to lodging as a supervisor. Her lab mix, Covey, loves attending day care each day.  Ashley has also recently adopted a sweet lab mix named Roux from Pup Squad Animal Resuce.

Kali Shrum - Daycare Manager

Kali always knew that when she grew up she would work with animals. Kali was so sure when she was little that she told her mom everyday that she would be an animal doctor! Kali’s love for all four legged creatures took her through “grown up” adventures like working in a pet store and volunteering at the Houston Zoo. From there Kali’s passion landed her in school to become a registered vet tech. She came to Meadowlake with experience in owning all kinds of animals including chickens, cows, ducks, and tarantulas (and of course dogs and cats). Kali is thrilled to be working at Meadowlake as the Daycare Manager!

Tony Yarbrough - Customer Service Manager

An East Texas native who has been around animals since he was a toddler, Tony's first playmates were 2 German Shepherds named Stormy and Betty. He grew up on a small farm with a menagerie of animals. In 1984, Tony relocated to Houston where he now shares his time and his home with 2 rescued Bichon Frises, Romeo and Phoebe. Prior to joining the Meadowlake management team, Tony worked for Houston PetTalk Magazine in various capacities including advertising sales, special events, editing, contributing writer and photographer. He also worked in dog daycare/management for another local facility and as a volunteer for the Houston Zoo, where we was trained in the handling of various species of animals.

Lindsey Glass - Groomer

Lindsey joins the Meadowlake staff with over 6 years of grooming experience under her belt! She grew up in Nashville Tennessee and attended Middle Tennessee State University. Before joining Meadowlake, Lindsey worked at a lodging facility, as a vet tech and she even helped manage a non-profit no-kill animal shelter in Colorado! When it’s time for Lindsey to put down her blow dryer, she goes home to her husband, Rob, and her five fur-babies: Mr. Meegs and Rayna (both Persian cats) Piper, (an Irish setter) Lotus, (a Border Collie Mix) and Larry (a Cockatiel)! She also loves to take her dogs to the dog park and bake all kinds of goodies! Welcome to the Meadowlake pack Lindsey!

Whitney Cabaza - Community Relations Supervisor

Whitney is a recent graduate of Texas A&M University. She graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology, and a minor in Communication. Her passion for animal care and well being is what brought her from California to College Station, Texas, where she studied under the best veterinarians in the country. She is now Meadowlake's newest Community Relations Supervisor and enjoys every minute of it! Whitney has two kitties at home, Maverick, a grey and white tabby and Goose an orange tabby.

Domonique Davis - Reservation Specialist

Domonique joins Meadowlake with previous experience in the pet care industry. For several years she worked with various hotel chains as a reservation specialist and front desk personnel. Domonique has also worked with patients from MD Anderson Cancer Center.  When she isn't working with clients, Domonique spends time with her husband, son Dustin and three month old Chihuahua Germani.

Tori Hankey, CPDT-KA Pet Training Instructor

Tori has been training dogs since 2005.  She has successfully trained a wide variety of breeds from puppies to senior pets using positive training methods. Through group classes and private consultations, Tori has experience with obedience, Canine Good Citizen, therapy dogs, and agility training. She has several years experience working hands on with dogs in boarding facilities and animal shelters all over Texas. Tori has a special talent connecting with the dogs.  She recently earned certification through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT).  Tori now joins nearly 2000 Certificants worldwide.  On a personal note, Tori has a five year old Border Collie, Oakley and a 10 month old Pit Bull, Sookie that she has trained from puppyhood. Their favorite activities are attending Doggie Daycare, going to the dog park, playing with tennis balls and frisbees, practicing their obedience training and playing tug of war.

Trinette Flannagan - Accounting Manager/Bookkeeper

Trinette has been with Meadowlake since September 2009.  She comes from a strong accounting back ground in the animal industry, and has a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Business Management.  Trinette is pleased to be surrounded by a warm and wonderful group of co-workers. On a personal level, she has two wonderful human children and two adorable furry children (cat, Taylor and dog, Odie). Trinette loves anime, sci fi conventions and festivals; all of which she will drag her co-workers to every chance she gets.

Brandon Heihn - Lead Customer Service Associate

Brandon moved to Houston from Austin about two years ago and has worked at Meadowlake since the grand opening in June of 2009. Brandon grew up with animals his entire life and loved every minute of it. He is currently the proud owner of two rescued cats, Mila and Kenna and Rocco, a rescued Pit Bull. In his free time, Brandon Loves going to dog parks and exploring everything Houston has to offer.

Tina Fields - Customer Service Associate

Tina moved to Houston from Spokane, Washington in November 2011. Tina has owned all kinds of animals during her life, but her true love is dogs. She is currently the proud owner of a 3 year old female English Bulldog named Mandara. Tina has worked in administration for the last 13 years and now she is mixing her love of animlas and administrations here at Meadowlake!
