Dog Activities & Pampering

Meadowlake believes, and experts agree, that an active dog is a healthy and happy dog. Activity does not have to mean exercise. For elderly dogs, it may mean extra cuddle time. For puppies, it may mean more feedings, a visit to the salon to practice nail trimming and brushing, or a Kong Toy. The important thing is to provide your dog lots of interaction and attention while away from home.  A busy dog doesn't have time to worry about not being at home.

Packages

At Meadowlake we offer several discounted activity packages that include your choice of play times (single and group) in our special activity center or green outdoor play yards, treats, bedtimes stories and special accommodations. Premium 5-Star Package: For the truly pampered pooch 

4-Star Package: For the pooch who needs a mix of playtime and relaxation

3-Star Package: A great introduction to activities for the Meadowlake newbie

Swim & Play Package: For the dog who loves to swim but also wants some play time on the ground

Superstar Swim Package: Perfect for the pup who can't wait to get into the water

Puppy Package: This package is a must to keep your young one busy and stay in potty training mode.  (required for all puppies between 4 - 7 months old)

Special Care TLC Package: A great way to pamper the more mature pooch

Daycare while Lodging: If your pet has already been evaluated, they can meet up with their friends in Daycare while you are away. Choose a half day or full day Monday-Friday while Daycare is in session. For the weekends, choose a package above.

Note – Activities cost is in addition to boarding.

• Exercise helps keep pets healthy, agile and limber.
• Dogs need physical and mental stimulation each day.
• Exercise reduces the incidence of digestive problems and constipation. Exercise helps prevent depression.
• Sufficient exercise helps reduce or eliminate common behaviors such as digging, excessive barking, chewing and hyperactivity.
• Exercise helps prevent boredom and channels the dog’s energy in a productive, acceptable direction.
• It’s a good way to help a timid or fearful dog build confidence and trust.
