FAQs

Do I need reservations?

Meadowlake Pet Resort requires reservations to confirm availability, make staffing decisions and make other provisions for your pet’s well being. We may fill up quickly on weekends and holidays. Download forms or go to Reservations to submit an email request for someone to call you and discuss reservations.

Does my pet need to have certain vaccinations prior to boarding?

In order to protect all guests, whether to lodging, grooming, daycare or training, all pets must have proof of current vaccinations. Your veterinarian can either give you copies of your pet’s records or they can fax them to us. We do need these records in advance of your pet’s stay. Once the records are in our computer system, we will track them for you and advise you when they need to be updated. You may have to ask your vet for the Bordetella vaccination since it’s usually only given to dogs that board or frequent dog parks.

What if my pet is on medication and needs regular doses of medicine?

Bring the medicine with you and for $1.00 per administration (unless you purchase a Special Needs package which includes unlimited administration of meds) we will administer as prescribed by your veterinarian. All medications must be in the original prescription package with the vet’s instructions clearly written. At this time, Meadowlake is not able to administer injections.

What if my pet becomes ill or requires medical attention during their stay?

All efforts will always be taken to provide your pet with prompt veterinary care. Naturally, we will contact both the owner and the emergency contact person. In the event that the pet’s regular vet is not available, we will take your pet to the emergency clinic of our choice to insure his or her immediate care. The client is responsible for all vet expenses.

Can I bring my pet's favorite toys, treats or bedding?

Yes! As long as the bedding can be laundered if soiled. Personal items are limited to one bed or blanket and up to three toys per pet.  These items can help make your pet feel more at home during their stay.  Please be sure to label all personal items with the pet's name.

Do I need to bring my pet’s food?

If your pet is on a special diet, we will be happy to feed them your food. We ask that your food be bagged for each meal in separate Ziploc bags. If not, we charge $0.50 per administration for this service. Meadowlake serves NurtiSource Super Premium all natural, mineral and vitamin fortified dog food, twice daily. It is highly digestible for maximum nutrient absorption, and nutritionally complete so more of the concentrated nutrition is retained by your dog.

Do you offer grooming or bathing?

Yes! Our professional groomer can bathe your pet at any time. We recommend the day they go home so they look and smell their best. We bathe all breeds of dogs and cats, even those that are not overnight guests. Call us for details and a quote.

Is daycare available?

Yes! This is a wonderful way to introduce your pet to lodging with us without being away from home for the night. Our daycare guests are treated with the same high quality care as our overnight guests. If you’re worried about your pet getting bored at home while you are at work, daycare is a wonderful option.  Daycare is offered Monday - Friday.

Can we tour the facility?

Yes! We are proud to show you Meadowlake’s state of the art cottages, play fields and other amenities. Call for an appointment so we can welcome you and arrange to have someone available to answer all your questions.
