I Want to Be a DockDog!

No experience is needed to be a Dock Dog and all breeds are welcome to compete. Here are some basics when it comes to DockDogs!

DockDogs 101 - What is Big Air?

Big Air is a "long jump" for dogs.  The dog may be placed anywhere on the 40' dock, run and jumps into the water after a throw toy.  The distance is judged from the end of the dock to where the tail set of the dog breaks the waters surface.

DockDogs 101- What is Speed Retrieve?

Speed Retrieve is a "timed event".  Located at the end of the pool is a DockDogs Flappy toy suspended 2" above the water with a starting light above it.  The dog is placed at the 20' white mark on the dock, when the light turns green the handler releases the dog and the time stops when the dog has grabbed the toy.
