Do you provide grooming services to pets other than dogs?
As of right now, Meadowlake specializes in grooming and salon services catered to canine companions. By focusing exclusively on dogs, we ensure that your furry friend receives the highest level of care and expertise. This allows our team to understand the unique needs of each dog, allowing tailored grooming services to keep your pet looking healthy, happy and also looking their best.
Do my pets need to be vaccinated to be groomed here?
Yes, all pets must be up-to-date on their vaccines to be groomed at Meadowlake. This requires dogs to be vaccinated against Rabies, DHLPP (distemper), and Bordetella. While we do not require the CIV (canine flu) vaccine, we do highly recommend it. This requirement ensures the safety and well-being of all animals in our care, as well as helps protect our grooming staff. We always encourage all pet parents to discuss vaccinations with their preferred veterinarian to ensure their pet remains safe and happy during grooming.
How does Meadowlake handle dogs that are anxious or aggressive?
At Meadowlake Pet Resort, we entrust your pet to our experienced groomers who are trained in handling dogs of all temperaments with extreme care and patience. We strive to provide a calm and stress-free environment for any guest at the salon, even if it means taking it slow and working at the dog’s comfort and pace. However, if you find that your dog exhibits anxious or aggressive behavior that could potentially put our staff at risk, we recommend that grooming services be completed with a veterinarian.
