Meadowlake Pet Resort offers a variety of training programs to suit your needs, goals, and budget. We provide a complimentary Training Orientation, available in person or by phone. Whether you’re just starting your dog training journey or looking for immediate solutions, our Training Orientation is the perfect place to begin. During orientation, our highly trained Dog Training Coordinators will review your training goals, explain available training methods, and educate you on the best tools and resources. They’ll also provide pricing and recommendations tailored to you, your dog, and your family. Meadowlake exclusively offers training at our 288 South location, which features a 1500-square-foot room with an adjacent fenced-in yard for training pups.

The Basis: Behavior Training
Fundamental obedience training is the cornerstone of a well-behaved canine’s temperament. At Meadowlake, we start with essential behaviors like ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘place’, and walking on a loose leash. To further ensure your pet feels comfortable in various situations and settings, we focus on commands, proper greetings, and doggie etiquette that enhances communication between you and your pup. We address unwanted behaviors and habits, such as barking, jumping, chewing, and mouthing, that should be eliminated or controlled for the comfort of both you and your canine companion.

Private Lessons
Early Start Puppy Programs
Puppies can start training as early as 16 weeks old. Meadowlake’s customized programs are perfect for dogs of any age. Building a strong foundation early in puppyhood, along with socialization with new people and other dogs, is the best way to set you and your pup up for lifelong success. While your puppy is with us, they will be introduced to a variety of behavioral enrichment activities. Puppy sessions include basic commands such as sit, come, and leash training. The sooner the start, the better—an early foundation leads to more confident adult dogs.

Yes! Our customized training programs include take-home exercises, informational resources, and support from our expert team to ensure lasting, meaningful results.
Need a little more training down the road? Meadowlake offers follow-up lessons and Refresher Days which can even take place while your pet is lodging at Meadowlake, helping to continually reinforce previous training.
